Who In The World Is Westbankmama (Part 2)
I started my job this week (there were some technical problems so I couldn't start on January 1st as originally planned). Thank G-d the people are very nice, and the work seems interesting so far. I am using parts of my brain that I haven't used for a long time. Being a good mother and wife, and even being a good mikveh lady (my second part-time job, which I have done for the past seven years) entails certain skills and middot (characteristics), which are helping me when dealing with people. Now I am enjoying learning new things and adding some other skills to my repertoire.
It might take me a little while to get back to my regular, once-a-day blogging pace, but I fully intend to do that. I enjoy blogging too much to give it up.
Shabbat Shalom!

Isn't it nice to let those parts of the brain out to play? I know the feeling! Enjoy it!
(ps I spent one or two Shabbatot on your Yishuv back in my former life- I wonder if we ever sat next to each other in Bet Knesset...:-)
Hiya Rachel. I just knew I knew you. I'm pretty sure I already emailed you under my real name, so you already know who I am. Haven't seen you since we met at that OB's office, oh, eleven or so years ago. Keep up the hasbarah and good luck with the new job. Great article too.
I'm glad you enjoy blogging and will keep it up -- I'd miss my daily WBB fix!
I feel vindicated--I had guessed the right yishuv when I was playing "who's the anonymous blogger." (Since both The Spouse and I have relatives there, we know the place well; we spent our honeymoon in a caravan there back when caravans were all there were.) So--do you get people mixing you up with the famous Lehava teacher?
there goes your anonymity. nice to meet you..
It was a great article!
I remember reading that, westbankmama- or can I say Rachel now?! An excellent article...
I am glad that your new job is turning out so far, so good and I always look forward to visiting you!
tafka - now I am really curious!!!
motherinisrael - yes, I was at the OB around eleven years ago - my youngest is a few weeks away from his eleventh birthday. On the other hand, that OB was a really busy place! Forgive me if I don't remember you...
aliyah06 - yes, I really like it!
moze - you mean, I may actually sit next to you too in shul (my mind is starting to freak out!)
rafi - thanks!
muse - now the next time kahanaloyalist calls me batya I can point out my real name!
regina - thanks, I am going over to you soon...
Yay!
Does this mean we can go out for 'cawfee' without a disguise?
beautiful name, but is it the hebrew or the american one?
kasamba - I don't get to England much...
emanuel - the first name is my Hebrew one, which I didn't go by until we made aliyah. The family name was also Hebraicized from another one that my husband's family took on when they immigrated to America in 1938. So, in effect, people who knew me in America will not recognize this name either!!!
That was a terrific article- good luck with the job!
Glad to hear the new job is going well. Hatzlachah, and enjoy the new start in both parts of your life. The article was great!
Good article.
You may well have sat next to me in shul at one point or another. Given your address in the Yesha phonebook, you probably live right near The Spouse's relatives. (You also live close to my cousin, because the whole place aint that big, though it's much, much bigger than the first time I visited it.)
I thought that article looked familiar, and I thought the URL looked familiar, too, so I copied it into my "address window" and the rest is history, or, rather, your anonymity is history. :) Welcome to the world of debutantes--you've just had your coming out party. :)
